About me

A little about me.

My work has taken me from data systems and software development to pharmacy operations and immigration law.

Hi, I’m Seratul.

I’m Bengali and Muslim, and I’ve lived in Astoria my whole life.

I’m a paralegal at Khalique Law PLLC, an immigration law firm. I help prepare forms and supporting documents for family petitions, adjustment of status, VAWA cases, and business visas. I also research the laws, regulations, and policy guidance that inform those filings.

I studied computer science at Queens College. At the firm, I built a Notion workspace from scratch to organize client information, cases, deadlines, guides, and blog content. I’ve also introduced AI tools into routine drafting work, with rules for protecting client confidentiality and reviewing what the tools produce.

Before joining the firm, I worked as a pharmacy technician at CVS, filling prescriptions and working with insurers and prescribers to resolve coverage issues.

Previous work

At ROSP, I led development of a Flutter app and web portal for invoicing. Before that, I managed data at Khan’s Tutorial, connecting QuickBooks with Google Sheets, writing scripts for daily records, and helping move classes online.

Outside of work

I enjoy spending time with friends and family and playing basketball, pickleball, and tennis. I follow basketball and play fantasy basketball, and I also enjoy gaming, movies, and TV shows.
